Assisted Living Floor Plans | Find Senior Living and Elder Care ...

Many times when families call their local Care Advisor, one of the most popular questions families ask is what an assisted living apartment is like at a community. Apartment sizes and features vary from community to community, but we have taken some of the most popular floor plans that are available and featured them below.

Silverdale Suite

Floor Plan Options

Assisted living communities that are part of a larger brand such as Sunrise, Brookdale, Emeritus or Atria offer a variety of different floor plan options ranging from one bedroom private suites to two bedroom shared suites.

For example, at Sterling House Winter Haven, a Brookdale Assisted Living community in Winter Haven, Florida has six different floor plan options available.

Private Studio Apartment

The Silverdale Suite is a 288 square foot studio apartment. It has a large walk in closet for the resident to use as storage as well as a private bathroom. This floor plan is designed for a single resident or a couple.

Shared Two Bedroom Suite

Another floor plan available at Sterling House Winter Haven is the two bedroom?Clare Bridge Companion. This apartment is designed to accommodate two residents that have their own spaces and share the bathroom in the suite. This floor plan is a bit smaller at 240 square feet, but residents enjoy the common spaces that are available throughout the property as well.

Customizing the Apartment

Residents are welcome to decorate and personalize each apartment to make it truly feel like home. Residents can bring in furniture and art and in some cases are even able to paint the apartment to make it feel a bit more homey.

Smaller Assisted Living Communities

These are examples of assisted living communities that are part of large brands, providing more options for the residents. Another type of community where assisted living care is?provided?is in a smaller residential home. The owner?s of these facilities have been licensed by the state to provide the same type of assisted living care that large communities offer, but these facilities are usually created out of a single family resident home.

Typically, these houses have a small number of residents, around ten seniors, living within the home. Since these communities are a family home, the layout is the same, allowing residents to either share or have his or her own bedroom within the house and share a bathroom with other residents.
