our fifth house: Organizing Homework Supplies (Back to School ...

One of the best things I did before school started last year was to organize our at home school supplies (homework supplies). ?I dedicated a small kitchen cabinet to house all of our homework supplies and school papers. ?With school starting next week, I thought it was time to revisit this cabinet. ?I think the only way to keep a space organized is to revisit, refresh, and renew every so often.
All I really needed to do was get rid of dried-out markers, sharpen dull pencils, and make a list of supplies needed for the new school year. ?Everything was still in great shape. ?In fact, the only new supplies purchased were glue sticks.
These plastic caddies I purchased last year from the dollar section at Target. ?They are still in perfect condition and are so great for keeping everything the kids need in one easy to grab spot.

Each of the kids has one, and mom has her own pencil box too! ?I love me some school supplies - and my box is the only one with a sharpener and stapler!

The only other change I made was to add a basket for art/craft supplies to use on larger projects. ?Since I have a Dr. Seuss thing going on in here I made a little paper label to fit that theme.
So, I think we're ready. ?The chaos begins next Wednesday.........I'm sceered, but at least I'm prepared.

Am I the only school supplies loving 30 something year old out there? ? The school supplies section at Target makes me giddy.............the sight of giant bins of crayons...........be still my nerdy heart!
